For us, the experience of photographing on film feels somehow more human. With a limited number of shots per roll, and no way to check if the subject's eyes remained open in a particular frame, we find that film forces us to remain patient, challenges us creatively, and helps us focus less on perfection and more on the moment. As Catholics, we love tradition, so we also love bridging the gap between our modern age and our ancestors. This is why we also gravitate towards older cameras - cameras with a story. While we certainly appreciate digital photography, especially its speed and low light capabilities, film will always have a special place in our work. We enjoy playing around with many different cameras and film stocks. Kathryn enjoys the ease of point and shoot and manual focus 35mm cameras, while George gets more adventurous with his medium format Rollei, Mamiya and Argus.
